Simmons - Mary Sparger

Mary Ellen Simmons, 90, of 1808 Lumbard St., Fort Wayne, died Friday morning at a nursing home here. She was born Dec. 31, 1888, in Tippecanoe County, a daughter of Addison and Ina Sparger. She was married to Merritte Simmons of Linden, who preceded her in death. She is survived by a two sisters, Mabel Britton and Ruth Peck, and a brother, Robert Sparger, all of Crawfordsville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the McComb Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday. – jlr
